PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £55,000 - £65,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
As an Assistant Editor for Curation, you’ll be working as part of the team that manages the front pages of the BBC News website and app. You’ll work with all parts of BBC News to ensure that our global audiences are served the best and most important stories from across the BBC.
This is a six-month fixed-term contract working a Friday to Monday weekend shift. You will be working 6 out of 8 full weekends.

This is a new weekend-focused role on the Curation team, where you’ll be working with a team of Senior Journalists, leading the curation of the page to determine the mix of stories that will be seen by millions of readers in the UK and around the world. This is a key role in a fast-paced newsroom, where you will collaborate with journalists and editors across the BBC to make a real impact on how we deliver a front page for a global audience.
